ADAPTIVE YOGA TEACHER EDUCATION
Helping more teachers bring adaptive yoga to their communities.
For over 15 years, I've been teaching adaptive yoga for people with physical disabilities and mobility restrictions. Along the way, I've come to believe that one of the greatest ways to expand the reach of yoga is to help more teachers and studios bring adaptive yoga into their communities..
My hope is that my Adaptive Yoga Teacher Workshops help yoga teachers feel prepared to work with communities that have traditionally had fewer opportunities to practice. When more teachers feel confident offering adaptive yoga, more people have the opportunity to experience the many benefits of the practice.
My approach has been shaped by years of teaching adaptive yoga classes and by studying with pioneers in the field, including Matthew Sanford and Jivana Heyman. While these teachers have deeply influenced my work, the greatest lessons have come from the adaptive yoga students I've learned alongside since 2010.
Whether you're curious about adaptive yoga or drawn to the possibility of bringing yoga to people who may have thought it wasn't for them, I'd love to support you on that journey.
